A local association Terra Insumisa gathered community members in the heart of Alcamo to strengthen bonds in an open and accessible way.
The day started off with traditional music, followed by a walking tour of the town to honor the mother stones that lined the plaza with the stonemasons who made them.
There was a sponsored lunch at a local restaurant. Participants could buy a bonus ticket to support a community member to participate cost free.
The afternoon was a poetry circle followed by live music. Providing common space for the community to gather and connect, communicate, and build trust bonds is extremely important as the commune of Alcamo responds to fires, droughts, and how to rebuild a sense of civic duty.
