About Bloom Network
Bloom Network
Where local action changes the world.
Bloom is a living culture, not a platform with users.
It's the seed library two blocks over. The fire circle your neighbor invited you to. The friend you haven't met yet, already restoring the creek behind your house.
We're artists, farmers, business owners, healers, and neighbors who got tired of being spectators in the place we live. So we built something else: local chapters where scattered efforts find each other, and a network linking them so what works in one town doesn't have to be reinvented in the next.
Be part of deep change in how we live, work, and belong to each other, 30,000 changemakers across 57 communities in 17 countries, building culture, growing local food systems, and creating economies that care.
Bloom is a verb. It's what happens when you stop waiting for permission and start where you live.

We've built something the internet has never seen.
Most platforms are built to extract - your attention, your data, your community's value - and send it to shareholders you'll never meet.
Bloom does the opposite.
Bloom Network currently operates as a nonprofit. As we transition the platform itself to be a cooperative owned and governed by its members, contributors, and local chapters, the nonprofit will remain to continue distributing grants to local communities.
This is already in motion. Members propose, discuss, and vote on the platform's future today.
Who Bloom is For
Bloom connects the people who make change happen, through local chapters at the center.

Bloom's Economic Protocol
Platform revenue and grants flow directly back to the members and chapters creating this network

How It Works
- 1. Communities take action: watershed restoration, food systems, ecosystem protection, and more.
- 2. They document their impact: in plain language, on their own terms
- 3. Peers verify the results: transparent, community-led
- 4. Funding follows: distributed quarterly, proportional to contribution
- 5. Wealth circulates locally: Communities invest their rewards in local enterprises, pay contributors who've been working without compensation, and shift spending toward neighboring farmers and makers. Money that arrives from outside the region stays inside it and multiplies.
How Bloom Sustains Itself
Bloom is built to be self-sustaining, not dependent on any single funder or revenue stream.
We generate revenue four ways:
| Member subscriptions | individuals supporting the network and accessing Bloom's collaboration tools. |
|---|---|
| Business subscriptions | entrepreneurs and organizations paying for business visibility and marketing support, with discounted access to ad placements. |
| Partnerships & marketplace | values-screened sponsorship placements and affiliate commissions from products sold through the platform. We don't feature extractive brands. Partner with us · Browse the marketplace |
| Co-investment | we grow financially when the communities we serve grow. |
Today, Bloom's operations are funded primarily by grants. We're raising $2M in growth capital to help our other revenue streams grow.
Our Mission & Vision
Mission: To connect people, projects, and businesses doing the work of healing communities and land - and help them go further, faster.
Vision: A world where every place has the freedom to come back to life, culturally and ecologically, where the wealth it creates stays to fund innovation and well-being, and the best ideas move freely between every community doing this work.
Our story:
Bloom began in 2008, sparked by the Occupy Movement, Arab Spring, and visions from plant medicine experiences for the future of society. Before algorithms divided us, we gathered for in-person skill shares and deep dialogue - artists, business and community leaders, government workers, and visionaries united by one belief: we can do this together.
