IMPACTS
My Blooming was two fold in the Winter and Spring of 2025. Firstly, I helped a Kichwa healer in Ecuador, upon Mindahi Bastida's request, to advocate for his community's biocultural IP over a mycelium in their forest that a company was beginning to extract to create materials out of. As part of this I transferred a $400 grant to Ecuador directly to Patricio.
Secondly, I spent at least 20 hours aiding Juan Carlos Kaiten in creating a deck for his civic assembly protocol pitch so that it could be presented to Kinship Earth Flow fund. JC needs a proper team in order to bring his offering to the bioregional movement, and has several funders waiting to support him. All this work manifested a gathering between JC, Syd and various other tech platforms that want to cultivate parallel bioregional governance in June in Upstate NY.
