Bloom Womb

TECH

Tech with a regenerative focus is a huge subject! Web3, Blockchain, regenerative agriculture, Indigenous tech, energy-creation technologies, pollution-clean up tech, regenerative materials, distributed manufacturing...

In this module you'll find beautiful projects and leadership on doing tech with integrity.

Fun note! The word technology comes from the Greek "techne", which means craft or art. It is the act of making or doing, and it originates from an earlier word root that means to weave. Bloom approaches technology in this way - our social network is integrated with life.

Activity Prompt

Meditate on your relationship with technology. Is there anything you would like to change about that relationship? Consider writing a blog afterward if you would like to share your insights or reinforce a decision. 💗

Featured Project

Bloom Platform

One of the problems with today's social media platforms is that they are designed to keep people glued to the screen as long as possible. This results in amplifying alarming and politically divisive vontent.

Everything about Bloom's media network is focused on inspiring people to get off their screen and into their neighborhoods to make the places they live healthier and more vibrant. This is an example of technology being used to not "capture" people's attention and money, but to nurture life.

The interface is also designed with psychological health in mind. It's meant to be a warm, inviting and comfortable place to be for the time you're here. Then, to connect you with a project or people near you to work together in real life toward environmental and social regeneration.
