Bloom Womb
NATURE
Many people find their way to Bloom because they have a direct, felt connection with nature. They want to care for her and find others to strengthen their journey and celebrate with.
This week's module is about deepening your connection with place.
This Week's Prompts
Sit in nature somewhere, relax, and connect with the plants around you. Can you feel their aliveness? Do they have any messages for you? Ponder for a bit your relationship with nature.
Go visit a local farm or maker you’ve been curious about!
Write a blog about your experience if you'd like to. It can be a micro blog - we want pics 😆.
Homework
Read Where do you draw the boundaries of home? Understanding bioregions might give you an idea. by Carlita del Sol with Movement Generation: Justice and Ecology Project
Research: To understand the richness that is already in your bioregion, research and list some of the organisations near you that are working on things you care about:
- How are they working with nature and where are they located in your bio-region?
- Note that they could be small groups, official organizations, businesses, anything.
- Are there adjacent groups that might be interested in regenerative culture building? For example, groups that are on the cutting edge of culture, queer groups, community centers...
While you are searching:
If you notice these groups have regular meeting times, include this info too.
If you happen to notice any funding or grants you could apply for, save the link.
Need ideas? Check out the previous Bloom Community Calls with people who are working within the natural realm (linked below). You might like to put the video on while you are cooking dinner.
Personal Project: Work on your personal project and starting thinking about who and how existing local groups could be informed, invited to be involved, and/or collaborate with you.
