Project

Diamante Bridge Collective

The Diamante Bridge Collective (DBC) is an association of individual contributors, local organizations, and global partners working together as an interdependent network of autonomous communities to cultivate a flourishing bioregion. We are creating foundational agreements and more regenerative economic flows that empower us all to take better care of our ecosystem, our neighbors and ourselves.

Our vision is to turn the center of our village into a welcoming, fun and interactive Community Center.

We believe strongly that Community Centers have an important role for the future, and that is why we are on it, starting in our village : Las Tumbas de Baru, that is also the center of the "Diamante Valley".

To get into more details of the many positive reasons to build and improve a Community Center, read my previous impact reports related to this project : https://bloomnetwork.earth/view/community-center--roof-and-playground--0822f13ee720 and https://bloomnetwork.earth/view/service-to-improve-our-local-community-center--181961effa29

This was a great experience for us to connect more with local workers and volunteers that came to help. I am very grateful for Pablo Zuniga to assist us in this project without charging for his time as the "build manager", the reason is that this project is for the benefit of his village and he likes to help making it a better place.

Spending 3 days there, we naturally got to interact with people and neighbors that pass by the road up and down the valley, and this partly why we chose this location for this coming Community Center.

Next Steps :

The roof is done, yet to fully complete the project we still need paint the metal to protect it and give it a nice look, we are planning to organize a volunteer day for that purpose.

Now that the roof is done entirely, we are finally able to design the space below it : The Playground, and the Chill and Gathering space.

This is very exiting for us, because it has been a lot of work to get to that point. It is like a house, there is the heavy hard work all the way up to the roof, and then there is the nice part : Furnishing, decorating...

Thank you for reading this report, more info soon !
