Intelligent Village

There is so much to say about the importance to have community centers in our villages.

Many of us come from societies where it doesn't exist anymore, where people live more individually. So we don't really know what it is, also we don't really know how to do it, as it is not anymore from our culture.

Creating an harmonious community center it is bringing people together to manifest harmony, and it isn't always that easy: it requires to use our collective intelligence, and learn to cooperate.

It requires to be at peace with each other when we take decisions, to really listen to each other, to know when to talk and when not... And when we are many wanting to create, that can be delicate sometimes.

Yet it is actually exactly what we need to grow individually and together. Only then we will be able to build intelligent villages, we need to put ourselves in service to everyone, tapping in the collective intelligence.

So much can be born from a community center:

1. Coordinating food production,
2. health structure,
3. local market,
4. trades,
5. exchange of knowledge and information,
6. workshops, exchange of resources,
7. recycling center,
8. protecting the water,
9. local transportation,
10. building techniques,
11. schools...
12. And many more...

So many circles can be created, where people can involve themselves, and work together to build all the structures necessary of an Intelligent village.

Community Centers = Information Centers

The blood of the body is like the information/knowledge travelling in the village.

The Heart / Community center, pumps this information to everyone in the Body / Village.

When we use and share this Information, as a collective, we are able to take better decisions, individually, and for the collective.

And that brings a greater harmony to everyone.

So this is what we want: to help everyone connect, and find their place in the collective.

And for that we improve our Community center, Centered located in the Valley, in Las Tumbas:

We spent more than a year building the fence around the soccer field, digging, cementing posts one by one, adding a metal fence.. A lot of work, but very important, for cows now can't come anymore in the soccer field, and create holes because of their weight. We raised money locally, creating events and inviting for donations.

Sometime we have big plans for the future, but we need to start with the current most important priority, so we can get to the next step.

The next step was rebuilding the roof of the communal Salon, because the old one had so many leaks. This Communal salon has so much potential, also it needs some love and appreciation, our goal is to turn it into a beautiful and welcome space, where everyone can feel that they belong.

Lastly we painted the walls of the salon and part of the fence, and we need to keep on at some point.

What is coming next ?

We envision to create an open Structure with a roof, where there would be some tables and benches, with a playground next to it.

We know that if we want adults to come together and have space to co-create, for families to feel welcome and supported, there must be a place for children to play and explore.

We believe that creating this open structure will initiate a lot of change in our local Area, and we are very enthusiast to make it a reality !

As well we need to build windows for the existing structure, fix the floor, make improvement on the kitchen...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The Bridge Locals / Foreigners

The valley where we live in is a Costa Rican Village, and many foreigners are coming to live here, yet there is a gap between the cultures, some ways of life, the language, resources...

We will for sure benefit of a place to come together, and unite in all the ways that we can.

When we come together, we become powerful !
