Let's Taco 'bout it - Taco Day

We turned our usual Taco Tuesday into Let's Taco 'bout it Wednesday to gather and connect through language and food. Our intention of the event was to offer a new way to converse with the community and dominant language of Spanish in Costa Rica through a new WhatsApp group.

The First 25 Tacos were paid for by donation from a previous Bloom Flo payout. We were able to show that this platform is a regenerative collaboration. By offering previous donations to this event, we present the possibilities of how we can fund future projects and gatherings.

A large portion of the Diamante Bloom Node was present and we were able to share some food and celebrate later in the evening, through a fire and song circle. Many families joined together of different backgrounds, with diverse native tongues to share the Spanish Language as an effort in integrating the foreign cultures with the cultures of the land.

During the gathering, there were several other initiatives mentioned to continue Spanish lessons for the community in the future. It has brought in a variety of perspectives on the impact of language from both the Native Costa Ricans and foreigners that inhabit the region.

I dig it!
