IMPACTS
Brian Hewlett was an instrumental part of Bloom International's grants team over the last six months. His expertise in grantwriting helped create impacts of close to 10k which are being utilized for Local Action Rewards Payouts, empowering local Blooms to keep blooming!
He created our needs assessment system which is broken into Bloom Specific Needs, and Operational Typology. In Bloom Specific Needs, he is capturing key issues and resources associated with goals, needs and performance of each Local Bloom. He is also collecting data on the groups' purpose, outcomes if objectives are reached, present state of org or program components, desired future state, major concerns and issues, actions that need to be taken to address concerns, financial projects, and more.
In Operational Typology, the Blooms are segmented into the types of impact they create in categories such as Community Development, Entrepreneurship (Bloom Marketplace), Regenerative Economic Development, Education, Watershed Restoration, Water Source Development, Ecological Repair/Regeneration, Indigenous Leadership and engagement with said communities, Arts, Healing, Media, Focus on Minorities, Tech for Social Good, Financial Technology, Cooperative Land Ownership / Stewardship, and Grassroots Networks.
Brian's work in this system will allow us to more easily have information for grants available, facilitate the ease of collecting more said data in the future, and assists Blooms in having the vision to create their plans for the future. Brian - you are awesome, and we love you!!
Thank you so much for all you have done for Grants Team on Bloom International.
