IMPACTS
On May 17th, our community came together and invited for the Coliazul Encunetro, the second benefit event in 2025. It was an inspiring day, featuring a talented Costa Rican storyteller with a captivating story for children and fascinating the adults as well, a creative songwriter of our community with humerous funny songs and the heart-warming danceable music of our own international gipsy band. The financial benefits were dedicated to the operation of the children’s program. Like the benefit events before this event reflects beautifully the collective spirit and dedication that define Coliazul.
The weeks leading up to the event were filled with planning and coordination. Parents held several meetings, the teacher practiced with the kids songs, and parents and community helpers diligently planned and prepared the food. The sense of teamwork and shared purpose was very energizing, setting the stage for a memorable day.
By fostering a community that values sustainability, cultural co-creation and interconnectedness, we are contributing to a more resilient and harmonious community grounded in Nature.
The day was filled with joy and excitement as friends, neighbors, and new acquaintances gathered to support the project, learn more about our mission, and celebrate together. The atmosphere was electric with the warmth of community bonds, enhanced by a variety of activities, including first-class storytelling of a special guest, games for the kids of the whole community and live performances that showcased the talents and enthusiasm of our members. On top, the event was for the children a very welcomed opportunity to play all together in a free and creative way in the nature.
There was a lot of delicious food all donated by people from our community. Our well-organized kitchen team was serving lovingly all our guests. All the money made from selling the food went into our donations bucket.
Also the revenue from our raffle, to which a lot of community members contributed amazing services and items as prices, was contributed to our funds.
To conclude, again we had a wonderful fiesta by and for the community celebrating arts and culture to support the monthly costs of the children program, which are higher than what parents can contribute every month.
