Today, Bloom Network has 30 active hubs in 11 countries, working as local networks of volunteers and entrepreneurs. Together, the local hubs govern Bloom’s social platform via a DAO/cooperative and 30,000 members who help individuals discover and lead grassroots climate actions in their local areas. For most people, it's hard to find where to plug in to make a difference. Bloom makes it easy to find what's happening locally and get involved.

Bloom has recently introduced a new retroactive funding program that aims to further recognize, reward, and amplify grassroots climate action across its network of local hubs. This initiative starts with a Local Action Rewards System to record and reward Bloom’s community’s talent investment in local and bioregional regeneration activities with the FLO (Flowers) token and stablecoin based funding. Anyone can contribute funds to the funding pool, to be distributed to people doing effective on-the-ground actions in vetted communities. Later, FLO will evolve into a fully-fledged complementary currency, where it will become a medium of exchange across Bloom communities to kickstart bioregional circular economies.

As part of this rollout, Bloom has introduced the ability for users to be able to create wallets with emails, as a way to lower the barrier of entry into the platform and regenerative activities, powered by Capsule. Capsule allows anyone to easily create a crypto wallet without needing to deal with the hassles of a seed phrase or a private key.

Bloom is leveraging easy to use email logins to empower everyday people to participate in the Local Action Rewards, encouraging participation in community-led regenerative economic activities. Capsule wallets enable Bloom’s users to immediately fund their wallet via their preferred local currencies and use their wallets across other web3 funding and voting apps, as the FLO economy matures over time!

We’re so excited to be able to accelerate the adoption of web3 among on-the-ground communities, via opening up access to broader communities with easy to use infrastructure. FLO accessibility will power v2 of Flowers next year, where members will be able to:
