Bloom Womb

INTRODUCTION

The cohort starts with building relationships. Where are we each beaming in from? What projects are we working on? What do we deeply care about? Facilitator Hannah Mitchell from New Zealand supports this process during each live session.

Five Qualities for Building Regenerative Relationships

Basic Regenerative definition

Regenerative cultures create the conditions for more life, more diversity, more resilience and anti-fragility. They are opposite of extractive culture, where more resources are taken from an environment or people than life can sustain.

Regenerative cultures are a step beyond sustainability. At this point in time, regenerative cultures often restore degraded environments, preventing pollution from entering waterways, cleaning up and restoring soil, and healing traumas from long histories of colonial abuses to land and culture.

Regenerative cultures also makes economic sense for businesses and mutual aid approaches rooted in longevity. Bloom Network aims to demonstrate healthy, regenerative community everywhere we have a local action network as well as globally through online collaboration and knowledge building.

What is Bloom Network?

Bloom Network is an international community of people and projects working toward regenerative cultures. Local Bloom Chapters around the world grow participation in practices such as food security, local economies, celebrations of diversity, and art as cultural transformation.

Why? There are tens of thousands of solutions for climate restoration and social equity all over the world. However, they are invisible to the general public and disconnected from one another. Bloom connects people and existing initiatives, locally and globally, to build capacity together and inspire a billion acts of regeneration.

Indigenous Solidarity and Global Equity

Indigenous solidarity and global equity is a thread that runs through all themes. This syllabus introduces the importance of restoring power dynamics so that Indigenous communities that are already living regenerative cultures are more respected and their leadership followed and supported. Similarly, local and grassroots communities are the closest to today's environmental breakdowns, and they often are the source of the most effective and least costly solutions. Throughout economy, art, nature, and technology, Bloom Network encourages the flow of knowledge between these groups, and supports better public visibility for what they're doing.

And now, are you ready to get nerdy and learn more about the wonderful world of regeneration??! Continue to the art section, our first module.
